| Gayles Bakery (and deli) is
in Capitola, just south of Santa
Cruz. Every city has a great
bakery, but Gayles is probably
better. To give you an idea how
popular this place is their were 12
people working the counter the last time
I was in and everyone was busy.
From fresh breads, to cookies, to
pastries and cakes you can put on pounds
just looking. The Downtowner
Breakfast Pastries are our favorite along
with the biscotti and the sour dough
bread. Want an upscale picnic lunch
too take down to the beach. Gayles Deli
department makes some fabulous
dishes. The assortment of salads is
excuisite the sandwiches on Gayles fresh
breads are unbeatable and theres
more, Chicken and Ribs off the
brick-oven rotassiere. The prices
are expensive, but reasonable for the
quality of the product. Once you've
been to Gayles, you'll go back again and
again. Gayles gets an A+ rating. |
