| The University
Inn has been our favorite place to stay when we
visited the Pullman-Moscow area primarily due to
the location and its restaurants. It is very
convenient being on the Pullman-Moscow highway.
It is one of the largest properties in the area
and it is a hotel and conference center. The rooms were clean and
functional but not very spacious. The suite we
had earlier this year was very nice but it did
not provide extra beds. Maintenance of equipment
and fixtures in the rooms were poor. Only one of
the two air conditioners worked in the suite. A
light bulb was out in the bathroom. During our
most recent stay, the air conditioner made a
growling noise whenever it was on. The lampshade
was un-secured.
The smell of
chlorine can be quite obnoxious in the poolside
rooms particularly upon your arrival.
The cafe served
great breakfasts and was always open. Their
dining room, The Broiler, offered fine dining as
well as a very sumptuous Sunday brunch.
