| Saturday was one of the
busiest days of the McCall Winter
Carnival. Bev's Cafe was packed. We
stopped in to get some coffee and bagels
and planned to move on. However, seeing
the platters of breakfast changed our
minds. We got on the waiting list and we
were not disappointed. Yes, chicken fried
steak and eggs was on the menu and that
was what I had. It was exactly as I
liked. The cubed beef was floured,
dregged in egg then bread crumb and fried
golden brown. Eggs were over easy as
requested. Fried potatoes and sourdough
toast were perfect. It was the ideal late
morning breakfast to skip lunch for.
Another
house specialty was Potatoes Surprise.
Other had bacon and eggs. All were
pleased with their choices. Breakfasts
were around $6 each.
