| Caldwell Inn & Suites is
an upscale version of the many budget
hotels that sprouted along the freeways
across the country. This fairly new
property has nice, clean grounds. The
fountain at the front door arcade
enhanced the upscale feel. The lobby and
the rooms were suitably furnished and
were very clean. The "suite" was
only a few feet deeper than the regular
room. The regular room was spacious and
adequate for one person. The suite was
cramped for the three of us. The closet
cove with an ironing board could barely
accommodate our clothes on hangers. Our
luggage and shoes had to be scattered
around the room. If one of us was in
front of the singular sink there would
hardly be enough room for another to get
through to the bathroom. The bathroom was
very small. A towel hanging on the towel
rack would interfere with your head if
you were to use the toilet. If the one
wall hook was for the bath towel you
intended to use then the clothes would
have to be on the toilet or the towels.
Noise from
the hallways on our floor and above can
be heard easily. The two TV's, air
conditioning and the king size bed worked
flawlessly.
Continental
breakfast offered juices, coffee, tea,
cold cereal, muffins, begals, English
muffin, and apricots (in season).
Attentative staff and the seating area
made the breakfast very pleasant.
