We took an weekend trip to
McCall, Idaho to take in the McCall Winter Carnival. Lodging was
arranged with McCall Vacations with our
unit at the Aspen Village Condominiums. The unit was clean
and quite roomy. It has a fully equipped
kitchen, breakfast bar, dining area,
living room with a hide-a-bed, a wood
stove, TV, 1 1/2 bath, loft with a queen
bed and two bedrooms upstairs. One
bedroom has a queen bed and the bedroom
above the garage had two twin beds. The unit was
well equipped with all the comforts of
home including a washer and dryer, and a
one car garage. Indeed there were enough
pots, pans and dishes to make decent
dinner.
There were
some minor problems. The hot water tank
was producing rusty water that cleared
after some use. The concrete walkway
outside were severely buckled and cracked
with gaps up to an inch wide.
The condo
was about $300 for two nights. Given the
busiest weekend of the season along with
the beds for up to 8 people I considered
the price quite reasonable. However, the
hot water tank would definitely be unable
to keep up with showers for everyone.
The 10-day
Winter Carnival had lots of activities
for everyone. Enclosed are some scenes
from the Winter Carnival.
