| Beware the former chain
restaurant which changes it name. BushTucker was
the former Outback Steak House in Wilsonville, but for
some unknown reason changed its name and menu. It's
still "sort of" Australian...like the
Outback...but it's more New Zealand, with all the cute
"kiwi" references, etc. The food is OK, but a bit on the expensive
side for what you get. $16.95 for a six-ounce piece
of salmon is a tad high as is $7.75 for a small Caesar
Salad...replete with the white gloppy stuff that attempts
to pass for real Caesar dressing. (Have all the
restaurants received some sort of deal on this white
stuff? It's not particularly garlicky and it's VERY
gloppy.)
Bushtucker also seems to
be having a hard time trying to define what it is.
The sign outside says: "Pub and
Bar". The "newsletter" published
monthly (?) says: Catering, Eatery & Bar.
Seems to me like it's more of a bar than an
"eatery".
Well, the folks are
friendly, but a bit over-enthusiastic.
