| While Cafe Allegro puts
out a pretty fair lunch and dinner menu, it does tend to
be a bit pedestrian...certainly not inspired....but good
and tasty...somewhat Italian, a bit of the Northwest and
a bit heavy handed. Caesar
salad is far too gloppy with gelatinous white stuff;
Minestrone soup is excellent; blackened salmon is quite
good; sauteed mushrooms a bit heavy handed; an evening
special of scallops, peppers, cheese and penne pasta was
good, but uninspired.
Prices are good, as is the
service...but one has to question the long line up at the
self service sign in sheet...and where is the
host/hostess to announce when tables are ready? An
unnerving event.
