| I really wanted to like this
place, but alas, it was not to be.
Perhaps they're just a bit too new, but
"things" were very
disjointed. Our waitress was
absolutely excellent...a real
jewel. But the "tatooed
lady" who cleared our salad plates
and the strange guy who cleared our
entreé plates were just a bit too
much. Service was slow and it
really didn't seem as though the place
was that full.
The
"tatooed lady" in clearing my
salad plate neglected to either bring a
fork or leave the one on the plate
behind. "Yes indeed.
When there's only one fork at a setting
and you leave it on the salad plate, it
would be nice to be brought
another"...otherwise, the Penne
Pasta dish just sits there getting
cold...while you bring the glass of wine
that should have been brought 10 minutes
earlier.
The menu
is a bit skimpy for lunch, but the food
is generally good. The halibut fish
and chips was excellent, but the fries a
bit soggy. The Caesar salad didn't
have the white gloppy stuff for dressing,
but it did have the huge, long pieces of
romaine lettuce that had to be cut with a
knife. The penne pasta was good,
but was almost cold by the time I got my
fork.
Sigh...Caprial's
should move to Dundee and show them how
to do a bistro.
