| The Pavillion Grill is
located in the Greenwood Inn, but is
quite a bit better than what you might
expect for a "restaurant in a
hotel"....or not. I've eaten there
several times over the past few years and
though unimaginative, the menu has always
been quintessentially "Northwest
cuisine" and better than
average.
It
appears, however, they have recently
taken a new focus toward Italian, and it
too is good...but watch out for the
service. Though VERY FRIENDLY, the
night we were there, it was incredibly
slow and spotty.
I had an
EXCELLENT swordfish entrée...but it was
VERY TINY...I think maybe 3-4 bites and
it was gone. The price wasn't too
high, but it certainly could have used a
bit more substance.
Several
times we had to flag down waiters/bus
personnel for water or another glass of
wine...and the dining room just wasn't
that busy.
Perhaps it was just an off night.
I'll certainly return, but will be a bit
more cautious.
