I'd heard good things about
"Raccoon Lodge"...especially
that their "French Fries" were
among the best in Portland. Didn't
have a chance to check ALL of their fried
potato offerings, but the ones I had were
fine.
Raccoon Lodge seems to be a bit better
than average...good daily soup...I had
the clam/fish chowder and it was
excellent.
Most sandwiches consumed by my party of
10 were proclaimed to be good...but the
Caesar salad was...alas...more
"'white gloppy stuff" for
dressing. Perhaps a bit better than
average "white gloppy
stuff"...but "white gloppy
stuff" nevertheless. I'd have
to give it maybe a 4 on a scale of
1-10.
