| Of the Dundee/Yamhill Valley
region of Oregon's "wine
country", the wags are starting to
say: "Napa developed when the
restaurants came. Now they're
moving to Dundee". Indeed, Tina's is
one such restaurant...just about what you
would expect. It's a little
expensive (but the food is excellent);
it's a little out of the ordinary (if
located in Portland, it would probably be
in the top 20 restaurants); and it has an
excellent selection of local wines.
One visit
is hardly enough to form concrete
opinions, but Tina's is certainly a
pleasant place, staffed with friendly,
helpful folks with dishes featuring the
obvious: Salmon, Tuna, Beef,
Rabbit, Chicken, and Lamb.

| Take a drive away from the
ordinary city to Dundee, OR. As you
are going south on 99W, it is on the
right hand side of the road.
"Tina's" is a little red
building built like a one-story house. I have only eaten
lunch there and have found it to be
extraordinary. Both times I have had the
penne pasta with salmon and rock
shrimp. It is excellent!
Bread and unsalted butter is served
before your meal. A good resturant
can be defined by its butter! Fresh
butter is always unsalted. Be prepared to
pay a little more for lunch - $8 -
12. I have only looked at the
dinner menu - it looks wonderful.
Prices range from $18 - 26. Try it
out! Reservations for dinner are
recommended but not required.
