| Mo's Restaurant, NEWPORT, OR | P52 |
| Having lived on the
central Oregon coast for a number of years and having
eaten at Mo's in Newport on several occasions, I never
did understand exactly why it is regarded so well.
A visit last weekend, did nothing to improve my opinion. The clam chowder for which they're unjustly "famous" is passable, but certainly not any better than several other seafood restaurants in the area and it's lacking compared to some. The "shrimp salad" was nothing special and a bit expensive. The service was slow considering the place was only 3/4 full. The atmosphere is OK if you like tacky coastal memorabilia. Food: B-. Service: C-. Parking: can be a problem. Attitude: D. Value: C- |
