The Alameda Cafe, Portland, OR P267

A nice little neighborhood restaurant in the Fremont District.

Friendly people, good food...what's not to like?

The Caesar salad, while not spectacular, does possess Romaine lettuce cut in small enough pieces to be eaten with a fork.  The dressing, alas, is white...but not bad.  A bit of buttermilk and garlic I was told...at least it had a good flavor, wasn't gloppy and wasn't runny.

Homemade soups are good as are the various daily specials, tending to run along the lines of pasta dishes with various fish or meat.

The bread dish isn't spectacular either, but it does feature a couple of different types of French/Italian baguettes.
