| The Zagat Survey
was just published in The Oregonian and they list
Hungry Dog Burrito as #8 in the:
"...don't want to max out your Visa every
time you go out for a bite." category.
It is listed by 1,420 volunteers reviewing 822
Pacific Northwest restaurants. This
"best dining values" is created by
"dividing the cost of a meal into the
combined ratings for food, decor and
service"...so they say. Pity. I think they
have rocks in their head.
Hungry Dog Burrito
is OK, but nothing special... I can certainly
name several restaurants in this category which
are better.
The food is good,
but not great. It lacks the flavor of Sante
Fe and Cabo Express for virtually the same
prices. The flavors just don't stand out
much...it all pretty well runs
together.
Of the two guys
who waited on us, one was as pleasant as he could
be...the other? Well, grumpy and
disinterested come to mind.
Food: B. Service:
A or C depending on the person. Attitude: A+ or C
depending on the person. Parking: can be a
bit of a problem. Ambiance: A. Value: A.
