| Pasta Veloce is a nice
little pasta restaurant in the shopping
area of downtown Portland. Nothing spectacular
here, but the service is very fast and
the food good.
It's
similar to La Buca's, but not quite as
good. The Caesar salad has a bit
too much of the white gloppy stuff that
is supposed to be dressing. The
pasta isn't quite as well prepared, being
a bit soft. The various sauces
aren's quite as flavorful.
LaBuca's
will serve the salad and give you time to
eat it before bringing the entreé.
Not so, Pasta Veloce. Within a
minute of the Caesar Salad's arrival, the
pasta arrived. What to do?
Let the pasta cool and finish the
salad? Eat the pasta and finish the
salad later? Eat them both
together? Not a major problem, of
course, but it would have been nice to
have a couple of different options.

Attitude: B. Ambiance: B. Parking: Can be
a problem. Service: A. Value: A+.
