So what is it with most of the restaurants in Portland?  Why is the noise level so high?  There are few restaurants (certainly not many which have come into existence in the past couple of years) with any degree of sound deadening material...ANYWHERE!

This Pizzacato location has the same excellent pizza and Caesar salads as the other locations, but it's just TOO LOUD!  With a full house for lunch today, it was impossible to hear conversation at my table.  The walls are hard...the ceiling is hard...the floor is hard.  It was TOO LOUD!

Food: A. Attitude: A-. Ambiance: F for sound level. Parking: Can be a problem at this location. Service: B. Value: A.

If you love garlic, eat at Pizzacato.  The menu is limited to essentially salads and pizza, but all have a garlic lovers quantity of garlic.

The Caesar salad is very good and very garlicky...lots of garlic flavor in every bite.

Pizzas are excellent...not too much cheese and ordinary ingredients, but rather a thoughtful combination of "gourmet" items....wild mushrooms, artichoke hearts, etc.

Pizzacato has multiple locations...23rd avenue; Hillsdale; downtown; Lake Oswego, etc. all serving the same tasty menu.

Food: A if you like pizza and garlic. Service: A-. Attitude: A. Ambiance: B. Parking: can be a problem in some locations. Value: B.
