Republic Cafe, Portland, OR P189

Before the arrival of "Uncle Chen" some twenty or so years ago, The Republic Cafe was THE Chinese restaurant in Portland.  But alas...The Republic hasn't even kept up with most of the other mediocre Chinese restaurants in Portland in menu items...and certainly not in cleanliness.

The food isn't bad, but I've not found any notable characteristics which would make me recommend it either.  On a scale of 1-10, it gets a four with maybe a five on a good day.

Food: B-C. Attitude: B. Ambiance: B-. Parking: Can be a problem, depending on time of day.
Service: A-C. Value: B.
