| Salvador Molly's claim to
fame is their "Great Balls of
Fire" habanero chili/cheese
fritters. Eat an order of 5 of
these little devils with the sauce and
they put your picture on their "wall
of flame". So naturally, being
a lover of hot food, I just naturally had
to try them...no problem...no sweat...but
they are HOT. SERIOUSLY HOT! I
don't think a "normal" person
would like them, but they are pretty
tasty if you can get past the heat.
About
this time of year, Salvador Molly's has a
contest to see who can eat the largest
number of their "Great Balls of
Fire" with proceeds going to
charity. This year's winner ate
29...but the all time record is 33.
These folks must be slightly
insane.
Otherwise,
the food is good and a bit
different...Jamacian through and
through...Pretty tasty calamari on my
Caesar salad (yeah...unfortunately it had
some sort of white gloppy stuff for
dressing, but it went well with the
calamari). Jamacian jerked chicken
tacos...veggie burritos. All good
stuff.
The garlic
flavored french fries on a nearby table
looked great, but we didn't try any.
