Satay House, Portland, OR P111
 
I've eaten at the Satay House several times and am always pleasantly surprised with the lack of mundane dishes.  The Satay House is "Indonesian"...perhaps a bit of a Thai experience, but more elegant.  The food is excellent and different from what I've experienced in other restaurants. 

Unless there's something that particularly strikes your fancy on the menu, try the "Satay Mix" to get an idea of the different cuisine.  You'll get an overview of the menu in just one dish.
