| The old Delphina's was
closed, gutted and remodeled as
Serratto...What an improvement!
Despite The Oregonian's B- rating and
their comments "...the food doesn't
match the remodeling", this is an
excellent Italian restaurant. As is
sometimes the case, I wonder what the
folks at the Portland daily newspaper
were thinking...or did they actually eat
at the same restaurant as I? Serratto's is a bit
on the expensive side and does nothing to
buck the current trend in Portland
restaurants who seemingly thrive on noisy
environments, but the menu has some
excellent choices.
I had the
ravioli stuffed with white beans, my
companion the pan seared scallops...both
were excellent.
The bread
is perhaps the best I've had this side of
Rome.
