Dwelling at the north (and
somewhat "less busy") end of
trendy 23rd Avenue, Sushiville has only
been open for about a month.
I'm aware of at least three other sushi
restaurants in the Portland area with
"conveyor belt" service, but of
the lot, Sushiville is the best.
Unfortunately, Sushiville is also the
most expensive.
That said, however, Sushiville has an
excellent selection...all of the
"normal" things...salmon, tuna,
clam, octopus, squid, etc....plus the
ubitiquitous "California Roll"
and a few other various rolls as
well. But past all that, this place
has some really DIFFERENT sushi...none,
frankly that I've been willing to try
yet...but I will.
Prices are a little bit higher...25 cents
to 50 cents for about the same size and
freshness as you'll find in salmon and
tuna, for example. Some of the more
exotic offerings are up well over $2.00
to $2.50 per plate.
All in all, though, you get what you pay
for.
Food: A
Ambiance: Not quite as
"sterile" as other
"conveyor belt"
operations.
Attitude: A
Parking: on the street.
Service: Self serve...but they fill
your water and soda glasses
quickly.
