Tara Thai Northwest, Portland, OR P16

Yet another Thai restaurant without much to recommend it except a huge menu.

My last visit here (Christmas of '98) had two terrible events which will probably keep me from visiting again:

1.  I like my Thai food VERY HOT and asked for it as such.  Instead of using their hottest peppers, the chef piled on TONNAGE of peppers, ruining the taste...and it wasn't all that hot anyway.

2.  We were in a party of six.  I received my entrée almost immediately.  10 minutes later, another entrée drifted out.  10 minutes after that, another two entrées came out.  The last two entrées arrived 10 minutes later... after I had finished mine and after the other entrées had mostly been eaten. Perhaps the dining room was too busy?  Not a chance...there was only one other table of 3.  Service was terrible.
