| Newly situated in the
location formerly occupied by Fishtales
is the pleasant French Bistro:
Tartine. Our party of four arrived
about 5:30 when only 2-3 tables were
occupied. By 6:30 the place was
packed with a waiting line...good news
travels fast!
Our waiter
was especially proud of the house special
and the two in our party who tried it
proclaimed it to be excellent...a sort of
beef stew with a very light and delicious
tomato sauce.
The
halibut was good, but not spectacular.
My
"Ribeye with Poive Vert" was
excellent.
The onion
soup was excellent as was the mushroom
appetizer with cream sauce.
The
restaurant is fairly new and service a
bit uneven...but any problems were
completely covered by the friendliness of
the waiter and the owner who
proclaimed: "I think the food
was too long in the kitchen this
time. Come again, and we will do
better!
What's not
to like?
