| This is, without a doubt,
the largest seafood buffet ("160 ft.
Japanese Seafood Buffet") in
Portland. The food is good, but not
great; plentiful (obviously) and
beautifully "packaged". However, for $21.95
per person for dinner, the tendency is to
overeat to make sure you get your money's
worth.
Here are
just a few of the listings:
Lobster, cocktail shrimp, snow crab legs,
half shell scallops, 40 kinds of Sushi,
teriyaki Beef or Chicken, fresh salmon,
fruit bar, 20 kinds of dessert, green
mussels, sashimi platters, shrimp
Tempura.
I haven't
tried the lunch for $12.95, but the
$21.95 per person for dinner plus $1.75
for a soft drink brought the tab for four
of us to $89.55...a bit much, perhaps, to
celebrate the excesses of our American
economy.
In
fairness to Todai, they have just opened
in the new Pioneer Place II and they were
packed with shoppers investigating
Portland's newest "upscale"
shopping mall.
