| From the story I was told,
the "West Brothers" have
traveled the United States, sampling
barbecue "all over the 'barbecue
belt'"...they display pictures from
North Carolina, Arkansas, Texas,
etc...all of "barbecue
joints". But what does this
have to do with their food? Nothing
much. I've eaten there several
times and have enjoyed the food each
time. Unfortunately, there's
nothing spectacular, but it's all good
barbecue, well prepared and tasty.
Their
"hot sauce" is tamed down for
the masses. Their
"normal" sauce is OK...as is
their "sweet sauce".
I tend to
opt for the "sampler", giving
me three different meats and two side
dishes for $13.95. I've never tried
the salmon, though it looks fine and
various companions have proclaimed it to
be excellent...just doesn't seem to fit
with the decor.
The
"pork shoulder" is good...as is
the brisket. The "baby back
ribs" tend to be a little bit on the
fat side, but they're tasty.
The
barbecued beans with meat REALLY has a
lot of meat and they're excellent!
