| The place was busy in
mid-March while many of the tourist
haunts were still closed. I understood
why. The view was great being right next
to the harbor and the ferry terminal. The
service was friendly and attentive. The
menu had great variety. The ingredients
were fresh and the food was well
prepared. A signature appetizer was
batter-dipped onion rings. Yes, it was
greasy but good! My fish tacos were
surprisingly made with Cajon grilled
salmon. The other ingredients in the
tacos were black beans, tomatoes, onions,
black olives, and cabbage. Each taco was
had two soft corn tortilla and topped
with fresh cilantro. Believe me, all the
tortilla were needed to finish the
filling! Freshly steamed cauliflower and
broccoli accompanied the dish.
Others in
our party had Panko fried oysters, a clam
chowder in a hollowed out sourdough bread
and a seafood penne pasta with shrimps
and scallops in a basil cream sauce.
We had a
wonderful lunch. The tab for four with an
appetizer and three coffee came to $49
before gratuity.
