The Crossing, Vancouver, WA P119

The Crossing can be a bit of a tough call.  If you're after epicurian meals, forget about it.  If, on the other hand, you're interested in a nice evening out in a pretty neat place and you stick to the basics, The Crossing can be a
pleasant place to eat.

Situated in several old rail cars and with large pictures of "the way things used to be" on the Columbia River, the ambiance is terrific!

The food is awfully pedestrian, but the salad bar is excellent with a good selection of vegetables and shrimp.

Don't venture from the basics:  The Prime Rib is good as is the Rosemary skillet chicken.  But anything that conjures up "out of the ordinary" should be avoided, as you'll probably be disappointed.

Food: B. Service: A. Ambiance: A+ if you're into trains and old pictures. Attitude: A. Parking: A. Value: A-.
