| Having had a Caesar Salad
at the downtown Seattle location of 13 coins several
years ago, I expected similar quality from this branch
operation across Pacific Highway from the Sea-Tac
airport. Silly me. At least the Caesar wasn't
replete with the "white gloppy stuff" being
found on so many Caesars at restaurants these days, but
it certainly didn't measure up to what once was the best
Caesar Salad in Seattle. It had too little garlic,
too few anchovies and tasted too bland. Mediocre glasses of Washington and
California wine for $7.50 aren't for me. Nor are
entreés prices from $18-$25. What makes a piece of
mediocre halibut worth $24.95 when you can find the same
(or perhaps better) halibut for half that at numerous
restaurants within a 5 mile radius? Beats me.
But since "the company" was picking up the tab,
it wasn't important. Maybe that's why the prices
are so high. This location caters to travelers and
corporate executives due to its proximity to
Sea-Tac. I can't imagine a family wanting to dine
there.
