| The setting and decor were
excellent. We ordered their specialty
"Seafeasts for you". "We
take a variety of fresh seafood, steamed
with mouth watering spices, we pour it
out or the table on butcher paper, give
you a mallet, bib & let you go at
it!" The concept sounded great!
We ordered "The Westport" -
Dungeness crab, snow crab, shrimp in the
shell, steamed clams & mussels,
andouille sausage, corn on the cob &
red potatoes.
I just
hate it when a restaurant had everything
going for it and ruined the food by
over-cooking them! The crab pieces were
quite scarce and dry. The corn was too
mature and under-cooked. The "mouth
watering spices" was simply a Cajun
mix sprinkled on the cooked mixture. It
was too spicy for some in our party.
Putting the spice in a shaker at the
table would have been nice.
Quality
and quantity were below expectations.
Nothing else came with the $16.95 dinner.
A loaf of sourdough bread was another
$1.95.
It was a
beautiful restaurant. Too bad that the
food was barely acceptable.
