Ray's Boathouse, Seattle, WA P147

I ordered the Boathouse Salad and Smoked Salmon Linguini.

The Boathouse Salad was exquisite. It featured nice leaf lettuce accompanied by dried cranberries, roasted sliced almonds that were not blanched, and topped off with a very nice, slightly, but not overly sweet raspberry vinaigrette.

The main course had a very nice sauce that had roasted red peppers, yellow onions (caramelized) with lemon-lime zests and wonderful generous chunks of smoked salmon that had a very nice smoky flavor that added character to this dish. The sauce was a light cream sauce that was buttery and very nice. The pasta, was sadly to say, NOT al dente. It was overy cooked. The pasta did not have the slight chewiness that I like in pasta dishes. This was the prime reason why I gave this restaurant a B+ grade.

The sevice was well above average. The starff was friendly and helpful. We told them that it was our first visit to Ray's Boathouse and they made us feel welcomed.
