| I stayed at Cavanaugh's
Fourth Avenue twenty or so years ago when
it was a Holiday Inn.
Unfortunately, it's showing its age and
the Cavanaugh folks aren't doing much to
keep it up. Rooms are downright
dingy, needing new carpet, wallpaper,
paint, etc.
There is
work that suggests some floors might be
receiving a remodel, but the fifth floor
is definitely not one of them as it's not
very pleasant.
Couple
that with relatively slow, indifferent
help at the front desk and I can't
recommend you stay here unless you get
the "Entertainment Price" of
$42. Even for that amount, the
Super 8 on Argonne is cleaner and
quieter.
