Black Angus Restaurant, Yakima, WA P284

Folks in this town go nuts over this restaurant. The place was jammed every time I went been there. Lunch on week days are crowded and dinner on weekends can be an hour wait without a reservation.

It had been years since this restaurant was remodeled and the age is showing. What it has going for it is the dependable quality of the food.

I had the London broil ($14) and the optional($1.50) Caesar salad. The salad was large and reasonably good. Anchovies? Not a chance. No fresh ground pepper was offered. However, the London broil was very flavorful and more tender than I should expect. I had asked for medium rare but it was medium. The baby red and brocolli were quite exceptional.

The service at this restaurant has never been attentive. The wait staff always seemed to have far more responsibilities than can be handled. This visit during a busy Saturday night was actually above average.
