| There are very few
restaurants in Yakima that has a view.
FlightDeck is on the second level of the
Yakima Airport so you have a great view
of the runway and Ahtanum Ridge to the
south.  The property and
furnishings reflected the age but the
establishment is under new management.
Coming back to Yakima from Las Vegas in
the evening we were not in the mood for a
very big meal nor to spend a lot of
money!
I ordered
the Southern Fried Chicken and others had
the Country Fried Steak ($8.95 dinner).
The salad was crisp and refreshing. My
fried chicken was probably the best I had
in a restaurant in ages. Mashed potatoes
was served with a sausage gravy that was
neither heavy nor too salty. The Country
Fried Steaks were cubed beef then
breaded. They were excellent. The mixed
vegetables were tender without being
over-done.
We had
breakfast here recently and they were
good. Service for both visits were
friendly and reasonably attentive. I
certainly will frequent this restaurant
especially when I am in the airport
already.
