| The Golden Moon is one of
the most consistant and reliable Chinese restaurants that
we frequent for lunch. A variety of "Chinese
Combinations" until 3:00 PM are available for $4.95.
These combinations are not real Chinese food. But they
are a dependable source of some vegetables and you will
be more than full. They give you a lot of food! My own luncheon favorite is the
combination D, Chicken Chow Mein, Almond Chicken and
Fried Rice. The vegetables in the Chow Mein have always
been quite fresh, not a gooey mass if the pot has been
simmer a while. I suspect that they either use MSG or a
liberal amount of salt as I usually get quite thirsty
after eating there.
The Golden Moon has a full
menu of appetizers, Cantonese Cuisine, combinations,
Chinese Family Style Dinners, Szechuan Cuisine and
American food. It has been a while since we went there
for dinner. My recollection was that the several dishes
we ordered had similar theme, vegetables and flavor.
That, of course, could be the results of our incompetence
in ordering.
They are closed on
Tuesdays. The non-smoking side of the restaurant is not
smoke-free at times.
