Greystone Restaurant has provided us with many memorable, and delicious dining experiences over their 18 year history (we've been dining with them for as many years!). They're located in the National Historic Register, Lund Building, built in 1899, and their servers wear uniforms reminiscent of turn of the century dress.

On our last visit (February 2001), we ordered "Gayla's Crab Cakes," as an appetizer. These are absolutely the best crab cakes we've tasted... anywhere! I ordered the Tenderloin Steak, medium rare, with baby red potatoes, and fresh vegetables. My wife ordered the Pan Fried Yearling Oysters. Both our meals were cooked to perfection, and nicely spiced. A bottle of wine was shared with our meal.

For dessert, we shared the "Fudgy" chocolate brownie. I had a port, and my wife enjoyed a cup of coffee.

Total cost of the meal, including gratuity, was around $90. A bargain, when you consider the delightful food and level of service.

For a consistently wonderful dining experience, we highly recommend the Greystone Restaurant.

Greystone is one of the very few "Gourmet" restaurants in Yakima. We went with several couples for a dinner party last week.

Our dinners were fine but surprising ordinary. We had a crepe appetizer with fresh corn kernels. I ordered the Fresh Clam Linguini with a side order of Caesar salad. The clams were good. The linguini was cooked perfectly. The sauce was rather thick resulting in a dish that was a little too dry for my liking.

My wife had the special rack of pork. It was difficult to imagine the three pieces should amount to 18 oz. before the piece was cooked and cut. Her dish was cooked past her ideal.

We each had a drink before dinner. We shared an hors d'oeuvre and I had a glass of wine with dinner. Our check with gratuity came to $75.
