| Brugge's
"market square" (in front of
the octagonal tower) has several good
restaurants...all seemingly unremarkable,
but good with sturdy food. Le Grand Cafe Belfort is one
such restaurant. When the weather
permits, tables are extended out the
front of the restaurant into the
square...and when it's too cold or
raining, dining is indoors.
Most of these
restaurants (and Le Grand Cafe Belfort is
no exception) feature "mussels and
fries" (Moules & Frites) in all
sorts of tasty variations.
When in Brugge, you
should eat on the Market Square at least
once before setting off to find other
types of cuisine.
