| A Top Pick in
the Area |
| |
| Vancouver is one of our
favorite cities. The city is beautiful.
It has a huge variety of shops and
quality restaurants. Above all, people
are very friendly. This hotel reinforced
the great hospitality that we've enjoyed
here. |

The Delta Pinnacle
is located downtown near the
cruise ship terminal. Many of the
shops and restaurants are within
walking distance. The famous
Robson Street shops are four
blocks slightly up the hill.
Eatons department store is about
the same distance. The hotel
room has many thoughtful and
useful details. The clock radio
has a CD player. We used it after
shopping at the Virgin Megastore.
The second telephone was a
cordless on the night stand
between the two beds. The
bathroom has both a tub AND a
separate shower. Q-tips, cotton
balls, magnifying mirror, scale
and bath salts were provided in
addition to the normally expected
items.
Even
an umbrella was in the closet
just in case of rain. The only
two items to the negative was
that the room was rather small
and that the toilet was too close
to the wall.
The
Signature Club level room
included continental breakfast at
the Signature

| Lounge.
Complimentary Hors d'oeuvres were
served in the evenings. The staff
at the Signature Lounge was
excellent. They answered many
questions from all the guests and
made dinner resevation for us at
a nearby restaurant. Because of
the concierge's reservation call
and his note we actually received
a complimentary appetizer at that
restaurant!
The
quality of the items offered at
the Lounge was excellent. The
cranberry scones in the mornings
and the roasted vegetables in the
evenings were fantastic.

The Signature Lounge
was available to guests anytime.
Some in our party played cards
while enjoying the view of the
harbor. The going price for
this level of luxury was about
$250 Canandian or about US$165.
With parking, taxes (refundable)
and incidentals the room added up
to about US$200. However, given
the metropolitan location, the
level of service and the
amenities it was very reasonable.
We
will likely return to Delta
Pinnacle when we come to
Vancouver again.
