| Nothing special here...a
relatively new Holiday Inn, $149 per
night Canadian...but by the time you add
on GST and "Hotel Tax", that
$149 rises to $171...about $110 US and
just a bit much for what you get.
Especially the... Pantry Restaurant...
Well, the
folks are nice enough, but honestly,
having the nice, shiny plastic menus with
pretty pictures suggested perhaps this
would be somewhat akin to a Denny's in
the states. I wasn't wrong.
Nothing was bad, but pedestrian was the
operative phrase here. The 8 Oz New
York steak was the biggest they had...not
bad, nor was it anything to write home
about.
And, of
course, the Caesar salad came with the
obligatory "white gloppy stuff"
for dressing. But to be honest,
this "white gloppy stuff" was
better than most of the "white
gloppy stuff" that restaurants in
the states put on their Caesar
salads. Silly me...that's what it
looked like in the picture as well.
