| I came to this hotel for
a meeting several years ago and really enjoyed it and the
area around it. This time we came up just for fun from
Seattle on the AmTrack and decided to stay here again. The property was remodeled and it
was a gem. "art & elegance on robson" was the motto and it fairly
said it all. The lobby was avant-garde and the appearance
was closer to that of a gallery than a hotel. Paintings
and sculptures were everywhere.
The staff was friendly and
helpful. Our room was clean but not very spacious. The
view appeared to be an apartment building across the
street.
Robson Street would be the
reason to stay at this hotel. There were tons of
restaurants, shops, department stores and galleries
within blocks. Robson stayed alive and busy well into the
night. O'Doul's Restaurant & Bar at the Listel
Vancouver was a wonderful place itself. We had a great
late afternoon lunch in their sidewalk cafe.
